100% pure silk is called ‘shoken’in Japanese. It is a natural fibrous material that is spun silk into yarn.  It is said that wearing shoken is warm in winter and cool in summer.  The shoken silk is very weak to heat and water.  Therefore it must be careful if you do the washing and ironing by yourself.
